Keenan was a huge factor in assisting Eastern New Mexico University to win 18 of their first 23 games during the spring of 2017 through games of March 17. The Portales, NM school is a member of the 7-team NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference. He was used more in a starting role in the spring of 2017 (4 of his 5 appearances on the mound) by ENMU through games of March 17.

The 6-0, 180 pound righty was stingy against opposing hitters, who were only able to record a a .208 batting average against him in his first 21 innings pitched this spring. During that time period he was striking out better than a batter per inning with 31 and also showing great control by issuing only five walks.

The Albuquerque, NM resident also during his first five appearances this spring for the Greyhounds posted a 3-1 record and a 2.57 earned run average. He is a converted infielder as in 2015 as a freshman, he started 38 games at shortstop for the Hounds. In 123 at bats, he finished the season with a .252 average, recording 31 hits, 15 RBI and a slugging percentage of .350. As a high schooler, Dodd played at Hope Christian High School in Albuquerque, NM under coach Sean Anthony. He earned first team All-State three consecutive years as a pitcher and two years at shortstop.
